Job done!

The end!

Originally uploaded by JamesZ_Flickr.

Here it is, I made it! The whole experience was just absolutely awesome and for me personally was a significant acheivement and milestone.  I cycled every single inch of the route (and a few more when I over shot the lunch stop one day!).  I’ll be posting more detailed reports of the trip very shortly but in the meantime, here is a picture of us all after our arrival at Calgary Children’s hospital.

I’ve just uploaded all the photos from the trip to my flickr site. I’ll post day reports soon, my attempts to catch up after my post on day 6 were hampered by a severe storm one evening which knocked out the internet in the towns we were staying in.

About this blog

I'm James Zlosnik, a research scientist at the Child and Family Research Institute at UBC in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

This June my boss, David Speert, and others are organising the second annual gearup4cf bike ride from Vancouver to Calgary, Canada and I shall be joining them. The aim of this ride is to raise money for the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

I'm writing this blog to encourage you to sponsor me or others on this ride and give money to the very worthwhile cause.
